FaHCSIA Autism Early Intervention initiative

FAHCSIA - Helping Children with Autism Initiative. Access to this plan requires a diagnosis on the Autism Spectrum (ASD) under the age of 6 years. The funding can be used until the day the child turns 7 years old. DOTS OT for Kids is a recognised Early Intervention Provider with FaHCSIA.

FaHCSIA Better Start

FAHCSIA - Better START funding Initiative, for children with a disability. Eligible children are those diagnosed with Down's Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Fragile X syndrome, a moderate or greater vision or hearing impairment, including Deaf/blindness, Prader Willi syndrome, Williams syndrome, Angelman syndrome, Kabuki syndrome, Smith-Magenis, CHARGE syndrome, Cornelia de Lange syndrome, Cri du Chat syndrome, Microcephaly or Rett’s Disorder under the age of 6 years. The funding can be used until the day the child turns 7 years old. DOTS OT for Kids is a recognised Early Intervention Provider with Better start

Medicare Rebates

Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDM) (formally Enhanced Primary Care - EPC plan)

Requires discussion with your GP to see if your child is eligible for this plan - A maximum of 5 allied health services per patient per calendar year with registered providers, including DOTS.

Helping Children with Autism Package

To access this plan, your child requires a diagnosis of Autism (ASD) suitable for a child under 15 years of age, providing a diagnosis, treatment and management plan is in place before their 13th birthday. Referral for this plan can be made by a consultant Paediatrician or Psychiatrist for the following Allied Health services: Up to a total of 20 treatment services (in a life time) shared between psychologists, speech pathologists, occupational therapists,(including DOTS) audiologists, optometrists, orthoptists or physiotherapists.
